My story

Comma & Thread began with my love of words, stories and conversations. I’ve seen how a tiny pause can shift everything, how even a quick chat can spark something new, and how the threads we weave with others shape the lives we lead.

I’m Lou, a certified coach
based in South East London

I work with people who are thoughtful, caring and often carrying a lot — at work, at home, or quietly within themselves. Many of the people I work with are women, and mothers, navigating leadership, creativity, or change. And what tends to connect us is a shared desire to slow down, think clearly, and listen more closely to ourselves.

My work isn’t about quick fixes or projecting confidence or certainty. I’m interested in what’s really going on beneath the surface. The thoughts, feelings and tensions we often rush past just to keep going.

Coaching with me is spacious, honest and human. We take time to make sense of things properly, so the ways forward you choose feel grounded, sustainable and true to you.

My approach is simple:
I keep it flexible.

Sometimes it’s just you and me, sometimes it’s your whole team, sometimes it’s a walk or a session somewhere that sparks ideas. However we meet, I want it to feel safe, creative and genuinely connected. I’ll listen closely, ask the kind of questions that get you thinking differently, and help you or your team follow the thread to find the next step that really fits.

I bring experience from creative and leadership roles, alongside my work as a coach and facilitator. I know what it’s like to care deeply, to feel responsibility, and to question yourself — especially in environments that reward speed over reflection.

Comma & Thread grew from a belief that better decisions, leadership and lives are built when we’re given space to pause and be properly heard.

I also love creating diverse spaces: coaching sessions, workshops, women’s circles and panel discussions. Wherever it is, the aim is the same: people leave feeling clearer, more confident and ready for what’s next.

Comma & Thread is where coaching, conversation, creativity and connection all come together.

Every coaching journey is different. For some it’s clarity on a big decision, for others it’s a shift in confidence or a new way of seeing the day-to-day.
